Announcements:
- No study session this week.
- Book report is due by Wednesday, April 7. The three book report options are also posted on my blog. If you have selected Options A or B, remember to use the proper business letter format distributed the week prior to spring break.
Monday:
- Introduce I-Search paper. Discuss Phase I - Topic Selection/Forming a Search Question. Complete handout (search question) by Thursday.
- Capitalization lesson- diagnostic test/people and cultures
Tuesday:
- Capitalization lesson: first words and titles
- Writing Workshop
Wednesday:
- Capitalization lesson: places and transportation
- Share and collect book reports
Thursday:
- Handout (search question) due today.
- Capitalization lesson: organizations and other subjects
- Homework for Friday: In grammar book, complete pages 244-245 by Friday.
Friday:
- Search questions that have been approved will be returned today. I will conference with students whose topics are too broad or too narrow and help them revise their search questions.
- Lesson (Phase II of I-Search): How to identify useful and valid resources.
- By Wednesday, you must bring to class index cards and sources that you may use for I-Search (books, articles from the internet, newspapers, magazines, etc.)
