LA SYLLABUS - WEEK OF APRIL 12

Announcements:

• Study Session – Friday @ 8:20 A.M. Focus will be on reviewing for capitalization post-test.
• Please return all borrowed classroom novels.
• Key Lime Cove permission slips and money are due Friday, April 16.
• On Wednesday, you must bring index cards and sources you may use for your approved topic for the I-Search paper.

Monday:

• Capitalization pre-test
• Distribute “Research Basics.” Review Terms to Know.

Tuesday:

• Lesson on proper note-taking and working bibliography.
• Writing Workshop

Wednesday:

• Return capitalization pre-test. Please complete the appropriate assignment based on your pre-test score. See handout given with pre-test. All grammar exercises are due tomorrow.
• Begin note-taking on your search question/topic.

Thursday:

• Continue note-taking
• Meet with different groups to correct grammar homework.

Friday:

• Capitalization post-test (5th, 6th, and 7th only). 1st and 2nd period post-test has been postponed until Monday.
• Writing Workshop

I-SEARCH HOMEWORK: DUE MONDAY, APRIL 19 –
