Announcement: I-Search papers are due Thursday, March 17th. Please adhere to all the requirements on the rubric.

Monday: Announce Multicultural Essay/Poetry Contest (extra credit) – due March 22nd. Check in self-selected novels by today.

Tuesday: Review Friday’s poetry exercise (drawing conclusions/figurative language). WW

Wednesday: Continue poetry unit. Distribute book report format. Book report presentations begin April 11th.

Thursday: Collect I-Search papers and share interesting facts learned. SSR

Friday: Continue poetry unit. WW

Monday: Vocabulary Lesson/homework (due Wednesday). WW

Tuesday: In-class: Read and discuss “Sharing the American Dream” by Colin Powell. WW

Wednesday: Review vocabulary homework. Begin tonight’s assignment: Read Isaac Asimov’s “Science and the Sense of Wonder” (pages 581-586. Answer all questions on pages 586.

Thursday: Share responses from Asimov’s article. Lesson: Analyzing proposition and support/error in logic.

Friday: Vocabulary quiz. Continue analysis of proposition and support of an editorial and a speech.
