7-3 LA Overview
Announcements:
- Period 2 LA: Do not remove WW notebooks until further notice.
- Last week’s core extension grammar tests will be returned on Tuesday. Students will be given an opportunity for rewrites (due Friday).
- WW on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Monday: Final exam on FFA. Students may use novels and packets. Novels will be collected today.
Tuesday: Introduce I-Search project. Discuss Phase I – Topic Selection/Forming a Search Question. Complete handout (due Wednesday).
Wednesday: Return and review extended response #2.
Thursday: Search questions that have been approved will be returned today. I will conference with other students whose topics are too narrow or too broad. Lesson (Phase II of I-Search): How to identify useful and valid resources. Due Tuesday: Bring index cards and any sources you may want to use for I-Search (books, magazine or newspaper articles, etc..)

Monday: Review for grammar test on Wednesday (Chapters 14 and 23). Grammar homework due tomorrow. WW
Tuesday: Correct grammar homework. Continue The Last Lecture.
Wednesday: Grammar Test. WW. Lesson: Extended Response Criteria
Thursday: ISAT practice – Extended Response. Continue The Last Lecture.
Homework: The Last Lecture vocabulary is due Tuesday, February 22, 2011 but can be submitted prior to this date.
