Announcement: Word Power Bingo next week. Review your list of words.
Tuesday and Wednesday: Lesson: Proper note taking and source cards. Bring index cards and any sources you may want to use for I-Search (books, magazine or newspaper articles, etc..) COWs will also be available on Tuesday only to continue looking for more sources.
All note and source cards are due next week (Monday).
Thursday and Friday: (in class) poetry lesson-sound devices, forms, etc.
8-3 LA Overview
Tuesday: The Last Lecture vocabulary is due today. Discuss all responses up to Chapters 49.
Today I will also return your first draft of Review of Literature. Revisions (outline, review of literature, and works cited) are due on March 9th, along with all the other science fair components. See handout with all upcoming due dates distributed by Ms. Gora.
Students who scored an 18/30 were invited to attend a lunch session on Wednesday, 2/23/11. If the student attended, he/she may submit a revision (along with the original paper and rubric) in order to improve second trimester grade.
Wednesday: Return and review last week’s extended responses. Continue The Last Lecture.
Thursday: Extended response #2. Continue The Last Lecture. Return vocabulary.
Friday: Vocabulary Review (game). Vocabulary test on Monday. Continue The Last Lecture.
