Announcements:
- There are still many students who have not yet returned their at-home copies of Language Network and Language of Literature. These were collected last week and need to be returned soon.
- Grammar quiz was returned last Friday. If you wish to retake the quiz, you may ask me for a pass to come up at lunch on Tuesday. Please bring your original test and a writing utensil. This day is different from what was announced last week. If you want to borrow a grammar book to study, please see me to sign one out.
- Yearbooks will be distributed on Wednesday. During Core Extension, report to your original group. We have scheduled a yearbook signing during that period. If you didn’t buy a yearbook, bring a scrapbook instead for others to sign if you wish.
- Next Monday – no school.
Monday
- 4 free verse poems (based on word gatherings) are due. Students had 2 class periods to create these poems. Poems can be handwritten neatly in ink or typed. Be ready to share these today. This is the last day to submit the poems (unless you have an excused absence).
- Extended 6th and 7th – Prep for Word Power Bingo
Tuesday:
- Return writing workshop final assignment/grades.
- 1st and 2nd period - Begin reading “Hound of the Baskervilles” by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
- Extended 6th and 7th – Word Power Bingo
Wednesday:
- Return WW notebooks.
- Read “Hound of the Baskervilles.”
- 2nd period – Performance by student D.S. and company
Thursday:
- Read and discuss “Hound of the Baskervilles.”
- Extended 1st and 2nd period: Prep for Word Power Bingo
Friday:
- 6th and 7th period- Finish play.
- Extended 1st and 2nd period: Word Power Bingo
