language arts syllabus- week of 1/5

Announcements:

• Study session-Friday @ 8:15 A.M. Please take a pass from back table if you wish to review for Friday’s vocabulary quiz.
• Please return all borrowed classroom novels by end of this week.
• Santos Core Extension (1st rotation): I will be returning your graded persuasive essays on Tuesday. You may choose to file your essay and rubric in your yellow folder. You also have the option to revise in order to improve writing and grade. Revisions must be submitted with the original draft and rubric. Due by Monday, January 12.
• January 15 – 7th grade honor roll breakfast.

Monday:

• Today students can conference with me if they have any questions regarding oral presentation requirements.
• Vocabulary Lesson #8 (standardized test prep word parts). Homework is due Wednesday: Write each word 5 times and write a clear definition for each word.
