- Poetry Unit. I will be collecting all 7 word gatherings and 7 rough drafts of poems that we completed in class last week. This week (see below) I have reserved the tech lab for you to type up 3 of your poems as final copies. If you do not finish in class, all of the above must be submitted by Thursday, 5/22. Details to be discussed in class on Monday.

Monday:
- 1st and 2nd period only: Finish 7 word gatherings and 7 free verse poems.
- Share journal-based assignments due today.
- Extended 6th and 7th: Meet in tech lab to type up 3 poems.
Tuesday:
- Extended 1st and 2nd period: Meet in tech lab to type up 3 poems.
- Return last Friday’s vocabulary quiz.
- 6th period: Share journal-based assignments. Begin lesson on complex sentences from grammar book.
Wednesday:
- Grammar lesson: Complex sentences and types of dependent clauses.
- Poetry not finished in tech lab is due today.
- Free Verse poetry reading.
- Extended 6th and 7th period: Using who, that, which (grammar book)
- Finish grammar lesson.
- Extended 1st and 2nd period: Using who, that, which (grammar book)
