LANGUAGE ARTS SYLLABUS - WEEK OF MAY 26

Announcements:

• No study session this week.
• Wednesday-Follow Monday schedule due to holiday.
• Both LA textbooks will be collected on Friday. Book fines will be distributed on Monday to students who fail to return their assigned textbooks.
• 7^th grade picnic/pool party celebration permission slips will be distributed this Wednesday to qualified students. The field trip is scheduled for Tuesday, 6/3. Students who did not meet the academic and behavior requirements will not receive permission slips on Tuesday. Students who are borderline academically may possibly receive an invitation by Monday 6/2. Slips and $3.00 are due by Friday to Ms. Santos.

Monday-No School (Memorial Day)

Tuesday:

• LA Trivia
• Distribute cumulative test study guide. Begin note-taking / reviewing for Friday’s LA cumulative test. This test is strictly for your LA standards folders.
• Extended 1^st and 2^nd period: Share more poems / stories.

Wednesday:

• Distribute end-of-year field trip permission slips.
• Work on LA standards folder.
• Extended 6^th and 7^th period: Share more poems / stories.

Thursday:

• L A Trivia (next drawing to be held at the end of the day)
• Review for LA cumulative test.
• Extended 6^th and 7^th period: Word Power Bingo

Friday:

• LA Cumulative Test
• Collect both LA textbooks.
• Extended 1^st and 2^nd period: Word Power Bingo
