7-3 LA Overview
Announcement: WW final assignment due date has been changed to May 2nd.
Monday: Introduce upcoming literature circle unit and novel options. Students will be asked to select their top 4 choices. Introduce mystery genre, mood, foil.
Tuesday-Thursday: Assign roles, read and discuss The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Friday: Distribute literature circle unit, assign novels, and review all requirements. Students will meet with their literature circle groups to begin planning.
8-3 LA Overview
Announcements:
• Independent novel assignment is due May 17 or sooner.
• WW final assignment is due April 27th.
Monday: Introduce Frank family/WW II timeline and vocabulary from The Diary of Anne Frank, a play written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. Assign roles for Act I.
Tuesday-Wednesday: Read and discuss Act I.
Thursday-Friday: Introduce vocabulary from Act II. Assign new roles. Read and discuss Act II.
