- Students should be in the process of completing their journal-based writing assignment. Details were distributed and discussed last week. The format is also available on my blog. Optional: Submit a typed rough draft by Wednesday, 5/14. Final due date: Monday, 5/19.
- Study session this Friday @ 8:15. Focus is a review for vocabulary quiz #12. Remember-no retakes on vocabulary quizzes this trimester.
- Elective sign up sheets were due last Thursday. If you have not yet submitted your sheet, please do so a.s.a.p. Return to your advisory teacher.
Monday:
- Vocabulary Lesson #12 (words often misspelled). Homework: Handwrite each word 5 times each, write a clear definition, and use each word in an original sentence. Due Thursday. Vocabulary Quiz is Friday.

- Complete Word Gathering and Poem #4
- Remainder of week: Students can select from several topics. Goal for week: Complete a minimum of 3 more word gatherings of your choice and 3 poems. Keep all word gatherings and poems in your yellow folder.
Thursday:

- Free – verse poetry unit. Continue WG, poetry, and sharing.
