7-3 LA OVERVIEW
LA Announcements: Science Fiction/Fantasy book report is due December 16 or January 4, 2011. Students decide if they need winter break to complete this assignment.
WW pieces were returned to 7-3 students. Revisions are optional and are due by Friday, December 10, 2010. Rubric and original graded assignment must be resubmitted.
Monday: Vocabulary Lesson & Writing Workshop. Vocabulary homework is due Tuesday.
Tuesday: Discuss theater etiquette and introduce play that we will watch in the auditorium on Wednesday: CAST’s production of “Romeo and Juliet.” Lesson: Introduce teleplay entitled “The Monsters are Due on Maple Street” by Rod Serling.
Wednesday: Finish reading and discussion of Serling’s teleplay.
Thursday: Review for vocabulary quiz. SSR.
Friday: Vocabulary Quiz and Writing Workshop

Science Fiction/Fantasy self-selected novels should be checked in my 12/6. Book reports presentations begin on January 10, 2011.
Monday: Groups will finish sharing explications of Shakespeare’s sonnets. Vocabulary Lesson (homework is due Tuesday)
Tuesday: Discuss theater etiquette and introduce play that we will watch in the auditorium on Wednesday: CAST’s production of “Romeo and Juliet.” Writing Workshop.
Wednesday: In-class: Begin analysis of “Romeo and Juliet” (handout).
Thursday: Finish analysis and share results. Writing Workshop. Review for vocabulary quiz.
Friday: Vocabulary Quiz. SSR
