- I will return vocabulary quiz #1 on Tuesday. If you wish to raise your score, you may attend retake session at lunch on Thursday. The highest score you can earn is a B on the retake. You must see me for a pass.
- Keep reading your self-selected novel. Book report is due by October 5th.
Tuesday: Vocabulary lesson #2. Homework due tomorrow – write a clear definition for each word. In-class: Begin reading “Rikki Tikki Tavi” by Rudyard Kipling.
Wednesday: Finish reading and discussion of story. Homework due tomorrow – Read “Two Kinds” by Amy Tan on pages 260-276 in literature book. Complete “Critical Thinking” questions on page 276.
Thursday: Discuss “Two Kinds” and collect homework. Return vocabulary homework and review for quiz. In-class: Writing Workshop
