- Congratulations to the following 7-2 students who have received recognition in recent writing contests:
- Fiona F. and Erin S. – Perfect scores on Writing Celebration contest. They will be published in a District 97 anthology of all the winners.
- Asem B. and Tess F. – Winners of the Ethnic Festival Essay Contest. They will be recognized at the Ethnic Festival on May 2nd.
- No study session this week.
- Check for grade updates by Friday. I will be adding book report (scrapbook) grades by then.
Monday:
3rd and 4th period only:
- Mini-lesson: subject-verb agreement
- Writing Workshop
- Last week student ranked their preferences for literature circle novels. Today students will receive a copy of the assigned novel and a copy of the literature circle due dates. They are as follows: Friday, May 1, Tuesday, May 5, Friday, May 8, and Tuesday, May 12. Students will meet with their group members and decide on a reading agreement for each date. All expectations are specified on the handout received in class today.
- Begin reading.
Tuesday:
