- March 9th begins the 3rd trimester. Report cards for 2nd trimester go home on March 20th. If you want to know your LA grade beforehand, my grades will be updated by Thursday, March 12th.
- Core Extension-You will begin the 4-teacher rotation again this trimester. March 9th – report to your 1st rotation.
- No study session this week.
Monday:
- Return graded work. File in correct folder.
- Vocabulary handout will be distributed. Write a definition for each word. These are words from the short story by Daniel Keyes entitled “Flowers for Algernon.” This is due tomorrow.
Tuesday:
- Collect vocabulary handout.
- Distribute copies of the Ethnic Festival Essay Contest. We will begin a draft today in your writing notebook and revisit the draft next week.
Wednesday:
- Return graded vocabulary homework.
- In-class: Begin reading and discussion of “Flowers for Algernon.”
Thursday:
- Continue reading and discussion.
- Review for tomorrow’s vocabulary quiz. It will be fill-in-the-blank quiz so be familiar with meanings of all words from Monday’s vocabulary assignment.
Friday:
- Vocabulary Quiz
- Continue reading the short story. If finished, do responses at the end of the packet. If not, some time will be given on Monday.
