- No Study session this week.
- Book reports were due last week (February 11). Last day to submit for LATE credit is this Friday.
- Students and parents who did not attend the conferences last Thursday: portfolios will be sent home with the students. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the work.
- Expository essays were sent home with your portfolios. Remember, take your expository essay and rubric out of your portfolio and return it to your yellow folder. However, if you wish to improve your writing and raise your grade, you must resubmit the original draft and rubric with your new draft. Revisions are due by Thursday, 2/19.
- Vocabulary Quiz #10 will be returned on Tuesday. Students who need to make up or retake the quiz should come at lunch on Wednesday. See me if you need a pass.
- My 3rd Core Extension rotation: I will be returning your persuasive essays on Wednesday. If you wish to revise, you must resubmit the original draft and rubric with your new draft. Revisions are due by Monday, 2/23.

Practice ISAT test (reading passages)
Wednesday:
- Correct and review yesterday’s practice test.
- Distribute literary terms handout. Begin review (in-class).
Thursday:
- Assign 2nd trimester Writing Workshop final assignment. This is due by February 27th. No revisions will be allowed after the final is submitted so I recommend you select something that has already been teacher-edited. The last day to flag for this trimester is Monday, February 23th.
- Writing Workshop
Friday:
- ISAT practice extended response
- Finish review of literary terms.
