- Report Cards go home with students on Thursday. Please return report card envelope with parent signature after spring break.
- 3rd trimester begins Monday, 3/17.
- Due to no school on Friday, there will not be a study session this week.
- Book report format was distributed last week. Select and check in your novel by Wed. Book report is due April 16th.
- If you are interested in a poetry contest, pick up an entry form from the back table. This is sponsored by Dominican University.
- All classes: Bring grammar books to class on Monday.
- 1st and 2nd period: Bring literature (blue) books on Tuesday.
- 6th and 7th period: Bring literature (blue) books on Wednesday.

- All classes: Final review. Pre-test tomorrow (study pages 152-156). Scores on pre-tests will determine lessons after spring break.
Tuesday:

- Ethnic Festival Essay is due today. Follow requirements on handout distributed last week. Share with peers.
- Prepositional phrases pre-test today.
- Extended 1st and 2nd period only: Read and discuss “A Conversation With my Dogs” by Merrill Markoe.
Wednesday:
- Journal
- 1st and 2nd period only:
- In-class creative writing exercise “A Conversation With---.” Finish for homework, if needed. Otherwise, keep safe in your journal folder.
- SSR (bring your self-selected novels)
- 6th and 7th period only:
- Read and discuss “A Conversation With my Dogs” by Merrill Markoe. Brainstorm ideas for tomorrow’s creative writing exercise.
Thursday:
- LA Trivia
- 1st and 2nd period: Finish creative writing and share.
- 6th and 7th period only:
- In-class creative writing exercise “A Conversation With---“ Share when finished. Keep in journal folder.
- SSR (bring your self-selected novels)
