Announcements:

• SSR – Wednesday. Bring reading material.
• No formal study session this week. If you want to come in early to work on final novel assignment, see me for a pass.

Monday:

• Journal
• Correct and review last week’s ISAT practice test
• Continue working on novel unit

Tuesday:

• Quiz on pages 88 – 120 of The Giver. Discuss this section.
• Vocabulary packet pg. 3 is due today.

Wednesday:

• Journal
• Review results from last week’s extended responses.
• Continue working on novel unit.

Thursday:

• Quiz on pages 121 – end of The Giver. Discuss this section.
• Vocabulary packet pg. 4 and 5 is due today.
• Distribute copies of final novel assignment options. Select the option that will best challenge and interest you. Due March 11, 2008. The options will also be posted on my blog.

Friday:

• Discuss needs and items allowed for next week’s ISAT tests.
• Extended response practice (students who scored 3’s and 4’s consistently will be exempt).
• Begin brainstorming, outlining, or sketching ideas for final novel assignment.
