Announcements:

• Community Service Projects through advisory:
1. Pennies for Pearl Harbor (ends 12/7)
2. Used Coat Drive (ends 12/1)
3. Box Tops for Education
• New book report format has been distributed. Students should have checked in their self-selected novels for approval and be in the process of reading. Book reports are due 12/10. Format can be accessed on my blog.
• Last day of the trimester – Tuesday, 11/20
• Report cards go home on Friday, 12/7
• No school on Wednesday due to Institute Day.

Monday:

• Journal
• Return graded grammar tests.
• Finish discussions of Rudyard Kipling’s “Rikki-Tikki-Tavi.”

Ø 1^st and 2^nd period: Brainstorm controversial topics for next writing assignment.

6^th and 7^th period: Word Power Bingo!

Tuesday:

• LA Trivia

Ø 1^st and 2^nd period: Word Power Bingo!

Ø 6^th and 7^th period: Read and discuss autobiographies/biographies on Malcolm X, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Jackie Robinson.
